The HSEF has partnered with the Mammoth Community Water District (link page) since 2006 in delivering the LivingWise energy and water efficiency and conservation program to Mammoth Middle School 6th graders.

McConkey Foundation EcoChallenge

We partnered with Mammoth Middle School’s 6th Grade Science Club class, taught by beloved teacher, Gil Campos, to enter the McConkey EcoChallenge in 2018. The Water Super Hero team took on the over usage of single-serve water bottles and presented to local municipalities and organizations, performed taste tests and ultimately won 2nd prize and won $4,000 for the school. The money went towards installing new water bottle filling stations at the middle school and inspired the MHS Boosters to install them as a legacy gift at the high school.
